He has extensive expertise in Corporate and M&A and Finance, advising across several jurisdictions, with a particular focus on Angola. He also has significant experience in major international transactions across Africa and the United Arab Emirates.
João Bravo da Costa has a professional path dedicated to the Angolan market, but also with strong legal experience in the African market and in the United Arab Emirates.
He has advised several multinationals on restructuring and M&A operations, on international trade transactions, and on foreign exchange issues, involving various sectors such as Finance, Mining and Oil & Gas, Infrastructure and Distribution. On his track record, he has several international and multi-jurisdictional investment contracts.
João Bravo da Costa is Co-Head of the Angola Desk and is admitted to practise in both Angola and Portugal. He is also a candidate for admission to the New York State Bar.
He is Vice-President of the Oil, Gas and Energy Committee of FALP (Federation of Portuguese-Speaking Lawyers).

This assistance focused on legal advice and closing of the purchase process of shares valued at 140 million dollars, as well as corporate advice, particularly in the process of negotiation and execution of JV Agreements;
