António Rafael discusses Comparative Tax Law at JALP international event

António Rafael will be a speaker at the JALP Roundtable, an initiative organised by the International Association of Young Portuguese-Speaking Lawyers (JALP), taking place online on 29 October. Dedicated to Comparative Tax Law, the event will bring together specialists from Portugal, Angola, Mozambique and Brazil to examine the challenges and specific features of the tax systems across these four jurisdictions.
The event aims to encourage discussion on the challenges of international taxation and the importance of understanding different tax frameworks in legal practice. Key topics will include the tax implications of cross-border transactions, legal advice for clients operating in different markets, and tax issues associated with the provision of legal services across jurisdictions.
The initiative will provide an opportunity for professionals from the four countries to exchange experiences and perspectives, contributing to a deeper understanding of their respective tax systems and strengthening legal dialogue across Portuguese-speaking jurisdictions.
The session will take place on 29 October at 4.00 pm (Angola time), via Zoom.
